About the need met by the functionality
Codeby Connect masterdata's main goal is to supply the security needs in Master Data requests for CMS front-end stores, using Node and Graphq, which makes it possible to use the functionality also in IO stores.
Basically, with this App the merchant can configure and use it to make requests to VTEX Master Data in a more secure way, through routes in Node, made available by the App in the store.
About the development
To develop this functionality, our team created an IO App with Node as the main builder, and from there, it was possible to provide routes to create, search and update records in the VTEX MD, being possible to use in any store.
Results
Through the Codeby Connect masterdata App it was possible to perform several security fixes for the benefit of clients, especially brands that use the VTEX CMS to run their stores, avoiding the exposure of data that might be exposed through other features on the store's front-end.
