About the need met by the functionality
In practice, Buy Together impacts users who are browsing a website. Using as an example a clothing store, when clicking on the model of interest and proceed to the product page, the customer will have in a pre-defined area a ruler showing products that are usually bought together or that complement the purchase or are similar.
In the admin, the merchant can configure the buy together rules for specific products through the module in the VTEX Admin. Once the rules are inserted, the product pages that have this rule will display a buy-it-together window.
About the development
For the development of this functionality, our team used React, where components were created for the administrative area and front-end of the product page.
We also used Node and Graphql to use the requisitions needed for the catalog and to manage the Master Data V2.
Results
Through the Buy Together App, stores from all segments will be able to configure buy together rules for their products inside the VTEX platform using IO technology, making available in the store's front-end, a showcase based on these rules.
The stores that use this type of strategy can sell more by instigating the consumer to buy more products related to their item of interest, in addition, the buy together is advantageous for the customer that can be benefited with discounts and benefits.
