About the need met by the functionality
The Modular Landing Page App seeks to allow greater customization of a landing page by the site editor of the VTEX platform, giving greater autonomy to the merchant to add, remove or reposition text blocks, images, shelfs, slides and custom components.
The merchant can perform all the editing on the back-end and within the VTEX platform itself, in the site editor module. There the editing of all components and insertion of new blocks can be done through Drag-and-drop methodology.
The merchant can choose to add new columns, components, slider, shelfs, infocard and custom components and all the changes will be shown in the front-end of the page, according to the settings made in the site editor.
For the development, we used the VTEX schemas to edit the site editor and inserted native VTEX components to visualize the landing pages created.
Results
Now, the merchant can create custom pages and edit components without having to rely on a development team. The entire creation process can be done by them, including later edits.
