And it was with this goal that our team developed for the Iron Studios store Vip List, a feature for VTEX CMS stores that allows users to register in a list and have exclusive access to products and specific conditions.
About the need met by the feature
A Iron Studios is a collectible brand specialized in lithographs, canvas and official prints. What stands out in its products, besides their quality, are the limited triages that come with certificates of authenticity for collectors of all kinds.
With limited edition products, it was necessary to create a VIP list, where the customer has access to exclusive purchasing conditions and can even reverse products in advance.
Through this feature, we were able to set limitations and purchasing conditions that met the brand's needs, since it contributes to the premium image Iron Studios has in the collectibles market.
How the VIP list works
The "VIP List" functionality was developed in the VTEX environment. Our team has created a second product page template that will be used only for the VIP list category.
In this template, when clicking on buy the user is directed to the login page where it will be possible to know if this account is included in the vipclient cluster and also, if the ID of the product in question corresponds to the IDS linked to the user's registration.
If the customer is on a vip list, a disclaimer pointing out the purchase conditions is shown above the buy button. In case the customer is not on a VIP list, the purchase becomes impossible and a message about the buying conditions is displayed.
Inside the cart, the product categorized as a VIP product, has the option of blocked quantity, according to the store conditions.
In the store management, it is possible to consult or create profiles in the VIP list, through the store's masterdata. The process and management of the list was thought to be as simplified as possible, facilitating the management of clients and list.
We saw through this feature, that personalization in communication and shopping experience is something that can be greatly exploited in e-commerce, since the consumer expects to have experiences more and more complete and immersive online shopping experience.
