Codeby recently opened registration for the hackathon that will reward digital innovation projects developed by its team of professionals.
The goal of the hackathon is to promote teamwork and encourage the creativity of the company's professionals, in addition to challenging their skills by creating innovative proposals for products, services and processes.
"We hope to motivate our team and contribute to making the work environment more creative. Teamwork and innovation are part of our organizational values, so we want to enhance these practices in our employees. In addition, the hackathon will be a way to boost knowledge, integration, performance, and optimism. " says Dinéia Vieira, People and Culture Manager at Codeby.
The theme will be revealed only at the beginning of the hackathon, creating anxiety about the challenge with the participants, but it was thought based on insights and pains of the digital market (both Brazilian and international). The teams will have 24 hours to think of high-impact solutions in online and offline scenarios.
"We are very excited about this event because we always encourage the search for knowledge with a focus on problem solving. In the last two decades, technology has evolved at a rampant pace and being up to date with all the changes that are constantly taking place in this universe is a very challenging task, which is why the Hackathon plays a fundamental role in ensuring that our team is up to date with market trends, as well as showing them in practice and bringing solutions that have the potential to become products. "says Lucas Yamamoto, CTO at Codeby.
The hackathon will take place on January 29 and 30, and each team must have between 3 and 4 members who can be part of the development, customer service, design, and administrative departments. The hackathon will be open only to Codeby's internal team and more than R$20 thousand in prizes will be distributed to the three teams that have their projects highlighted.
What is a Hackathon?
A hackathon is a marathon that promotes innovative processes for the development of innovation and problem solving, bringing countless benefits such as fostering individual creativity, experimenting with new ideas, developing new skills, and of course allowing teams to be challenged to create real solutions through technology.
"We want to develop our professionals more and more in a fun and challenging way. We practically live a hackathon every project inside Codeby, transforming the problems faced by our clients into solutions with high impact on their results. I believe that through the hackathon culture we will expand our problem solving culture. ", says Victor Almeida, COO at Codeby.
Initially the Area51 Invasion will be exclusive for the corporation's professionals, but the intention is to open the event to the public in its next editions. For now the marathon can be followed by the public through lives on Twitch and Youtube from Codeby.
