Tamashii is a brand in the collectibles segment, consisting of several statues, figure actions and the like derived from famous Japanese pop culture franchises. The brand was idealized in 2008 and today is responsible for the importation and distribution of Bandai's product lines.
Its website officially represents Bandai in Brazil, with exclusive product lines as well as bases and accessories produced by Tamashii itself.
Scenario
After noticing the need to migrate their e-commerce platform, Tamashii sought our assistance to develop their new site using the VTEX platform, with the challenge of delivering the online store in a very short time, but without harming the user experience.
The project
The goal of the project was to develop an online store in 15 days, and for this we used our VTEX store solution, which allows us to develop a complete site, using e-commerce best practices and ensuring good conversion rates, performance and user experience.
The development
The brand's new site was developed using the E-commerce Framework, a tool with a low-code implementation base, which allowed us to build the site's structure and transform customizable components, thus simplifying the development of the online store and decreasing the time needed to speed up the store's go-live.
Using this solution, we were able to make a simpler and faster implementation, and then continue evolving and ensuring that it is bug and error free, and making updates to further improve the shopping experience with best practices and technologies.
In this project, we used the lazyload technique to improve the site's performance, adding the technique to the banners on the homepage, shelves and product page. Thinking about the mobile experience, all the banners used in the site are responsive, as well as the product photos per device, saving data when the client accesses the site.
We also used, some of our functionality to improve the customer experience compared to the previous site. These were used:
Gridview 3 or 4 products per viewFor the customer to be able to choose how he wants to visualize the products shelf.
Smart minicartA plugin written in VUEJS that makes it possible to make the purchasing process more interactive. The customer is informed about freight calculation, discount coupons or stock status just by looking at his cart.
Smart research: We optimized the site search with this plugin, for the user to have access to more complete results about a certain category, size or product without the need to reload the page to show the result.
Finally, we customized the native VTEX checkout, so that the customer has the same visual experience during the entire purchase process.
Result
The result of this project is a simple site focused on performance and mobile, with a great user experience.
After the migration to the VTEX platform, Tamashii's website had a significant increase in organic hits that grew about 5x more. This is because there was an improvement in their SEO, which scored 83 in analysis of the site.
