With its first store opened in 1974, Eskala has been developing its history in the fashion market, offering style with affordable prices and quality products. Today, the brand has 34 stores spread throughout the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiânia, and Rio de Janeiro.
With the delicate scenario we are living due to the pandemic, social isolation, and the economic crisis. It was necessary to accelerate the digital transformation plans of several brands, since the market is increasingly turning to the digital world.
Considering that the online fashion and accessories sector has grown from 44% to 53% during the period we are living. Many brands have been trying to reinvent themselves and migrate to digital, a positive choice since many consumers have adopted this channel as their main way of shopping.
The brand sought our assistance to develop its first online sales channel, a complete e-commerce that would offer a great shopping experience, high performance, and that would meet the immediate needs of the company.
The project was developed using the VTEX platform, for being a platform that allows more freedom and scalability to the business. In addition, one of the challenges proposed for this project was to have a successful go-live in just 15 days.
As the challenge of this project was the short term, we used the E-commerce Framework, which allows the development of the project in 4 stages, meeting the need for a quick and uncomplicated go-live.
Realizing the project this way, we structured an MVP that went live, and elaborated a schedule for further evolution, so that the brand's e-commerce would become more robust and have better conversion rates.
The initial project is a mobile friendly site, with responsive banners, product images and transactional emails. Furthermore, aiming a better loading of the site, we added lazyload to the banners, shelves and product page.
Our team also worked on the development and implementation of functionalities, in order to allow a better user experience when accessing the site, the following plugins were installed:
Gridview 3 or 4 products: Ideal for stores that have high quality photos and/or details so that the customer can better visualize the product without leaving the page.
Smart Research: We optimized the site search for the user to have access to more complete results about categories, size or product, without the need to reload the page.
Smart minicartThe customer is informed about the calculation of shipping, discount coupons or stock status just by consulting your cart.
Finally, we customized VTEX's native checkout, so that the customer has the same visual experience at all stages of the purchase.
The finalized project is an MVP, using our E-commerce Framework solution to shorten the development time and have a quick go-live. This way, we were able to achieve the goal of delivering a site in a short period of time, ready to start Skala's online sales.
The project in VTEX cms is in an evolving phase, but in this first phase we have already seen great results in performance and SEO.
